Is ear candling safe for kids?!
Question: i have a 3 yrs old son who ears have been blocked by a hardened ear wax. brought him to the doctor and was prescribed a lotion to put in his ear to soften his ear wax but it doesnt seem to work.so i was wondering if ear candling is safe for him cos i heard it's good to clear ur ear wax.

I would say so. My mom always made ear candles while I was growing up and as long as I can remember I used them. I would say that you wouldn't want to use the whole thing because it would probably take out too much wax...which leads to extreme itching!
I don't know what Ziggy is talking about...they absolutely do work. I had a terrible ear infection when I was about 10 and I used an ear candle and a couple other home remedies and it went away.

Ear candling is a safe procedure if done properly. However properly means many things, and it needs to be done by a true professional. A 3 year old is too young in my opinion to start however you may want to check with a holistic doctor in your area to get his or her opinion. Good Luck! Momma Kat

If a doctor prescribes a treatment which doesn't work, then you go back to the doctor and ask him to prescribe something else.

Yes it is safe for children, and it does work. Some people will say it doesn't work, you have to try it to decide for yourself. I have done it and I really do like it. My nephew who has had chronic reoccurring ear infections has had it done, I know from my experience it works! He no longer gets ear infections. I would try it!
