Water?... distilled, reverse osmosis, ionized, oxygenated... What do you think?!

Question: Which is best for supporting a healthful lifestyle? Is there an outline for beneficial mineral content in water... contaminants... alkalizing vs. acid forming? I read that bottled water is not much better than tap water and often does not meet industry inspection standards 30% of the time. Please help, I'm overwhelmed with all the contradictory information.

Filter your tap water with a counter-top or under the sink filter- Reverse Osmosis or carbon filter.

There's too much controversy with unfiltered tap water.

Avoid distilled water all the minerals are removed from it. Drinking it for extended periods of time can be unhealthy.

The best water you can get, if you live almost anywhere in the United States, comes from your tap and costs next to nothing. Better for you, better for the planet too!

Tap is disgusting but I'd agree with that guy above because sometimes bottled water takes out the natural nutrients we need.
It's disgusting though! hahaha.

I just turn on the tap, or the garden hose if appropriate, and drink to my heart's delight, and as long as I've been doing that (over 55 years, in big cities where I grew up or in the rural area where I've lived for a while now), and as healthy as I've been, why in the world would I go pay all that extra money for bottled water and all the hype that comes with it. Nope, just a quiet flow of water from my tap or garden hose is all I've ever needed, and all I'll ever need, and I've been too healthy an athlete and all-round guy that I'm not about to waste my money on plastic bottles so I can feel "chic". Ain't no way! God Bless you.

Distilled or demineralized water, by whatever process, is not part of a healthy, natural lifestyle. You need the minerals in water, and you don't need to worry about what they are if your municipal water has been tested and certified safe to drink. Besides that, you are wasting resources (i.e., the plastic bottles) and spending a lot of money unnecessarily by buying processed water.

The two best types for your home is either distilled or Reverse osmoses. I'm thinking of going with Reverse Osmoses. There are three bottled waters that are good the rest are just filterd tap water. In the North West.
Any one who says tap water is the best is showing their ignorance.
Sam's is good, Dasani, and Aquafina are the best in the North West.

Don't waste your money on the bottled water, cause it's just a big rip off. But don't trust your tap water either. I live in Australia and sometimes the water taste muddy or bitter or metallic. Mostly after heavy rains. Fill up a 5 or 10 L clear plastic container with your tap water and let it stay overnight. You will have a big surprise what you can find at the bottom. Try to filter your tap water with a carbon and mineral sand filters. The yearly cost is around $50 AU
