Best sleeping pill???!


Question: I have nights I'm still watching the clock at 2 am. I manage 2-3 hours of sleep. This happens about 3 nights a week. I have tried Tylenol PM, Unisom, Sleep MD, soothing music and herbal teas. Any other ideas would be great!

IF YOU HAVE A DR. LUNESTA WORKS GREAT IT IS EXPENSIVE EVEN WITH INS. THEY HAVE A GENERIC AMBIEN THAT IS UNDER 10 BUCKS WITHOUT INS. I LIKE IT TO. NO SIDE AFFECTS THE NEXT DAY. ONE QUESTION HAVE YOU EVER WORK GRAVEYARD? I DID FOR 4 YEARS AND IT THREW ME OUT OF WHACK ON MY NIGHTS OFF I WOULD STAY UP TILL 3 OR 4 AM. ONE MORE SUGGESTION GO TO BED NO TV. GOOD LUCK

Do not take hops. They can cause depression.

Otherwise, try a combination of Jamaican Dogwood, valerian and St John's Wort, assuming you're on no other medication.

I'm assuming you've tried chamomile properly prepared and it hasn't worked.

Try an herbal supplement that contains melatonin. You can get it with different levels of melatonin in it. They carry these at Wal-Mart. I was recommended to take it by a friend's mom who is a pharmacist in my town. It really works, but you have to make sure that you take it so that you are able to sleep around 7-8 hours, otherwise you'll feel kinda sluggish the next morning. Good luck!

For me Ambien short release is great. I'll use it just a bit of the cap and sleep four fully hours. Awake ready, no secondary effect. Of course, this is once in a while, don't want to be addicted. At least during the time you catch your routine. Anyway, you have to go the doctor to get it.

Melantonin is the best one I have ever used.. I use it ever day .. And have recommended it to ALOT of people.. It is not expensive and I have never heard of any side effects.. It doesn't leave me with any sluggish feeling the next morning at all.. I take it about 20 minutes before I want to sleep and it just makes you sleepy... Happy sleep to you : )
