Should a person with a fatty liver already take fish oil?!

Question: Fish oil is a good source of omega-3 and has the good kind of oil. It also helps with inflammation, the cause of most joint pain.

It wouldn't hurt you, and it should help your health. You don't have a fatty liver because you ate healthy, right? That's like saying you cannot eat peanut butter because you have to avoid fats, but you eat lots of cake because it tastes good! lol Good luck!

Don't know about fish oil but check out the simple nutrient choline.
One of the things it does is it moves fat out of liver cells!

I'm pretty sure it's okay.

I would try to elimenate whatever it is that's causing fatty liver (ie. Alcohol).

As a general rule a high fat diet is bad for your liver because it causes it to work a lot (like alcohol). The amount of fat in a fish oil supplement is pretty minimal though as really not to be cause for concern (probably the equivelant of eating like 3 or 4 french fries).
