Hello every body do anyone know the benefits of the FLAX & have you ever try it !

Question: Flax, a grain that has been used for thousands of years in food and linen, is finding new popularity for its health benefits from fighting heart disease to preventing constipation.

"Flax contains something we call soluble fibre," said Joe Schwarcz, a chemistry professor and director of McGill University's office for science and society.

"Soluble fibre binds cholesterol in the gut, prevents it from being absorbed."
Flax also has a positive effect on inflamatory conditions, which may explain why it seems to help prevent heart attack and stroke, said Schwarcz, who adds a tablespoon of ground flax to his morning cereal.

Flax is a plant source of Omega-3 fatty acids, a potent antioxidant. Evidence suggests it can reduce the risk or growth of hormone-driven cancers such as of the prostate and breast.

No, I have never try it, but I have heard many good reviews from friends.

If you mean flax as in flaxseeds it is a fiber and is, as all fiber rich foods, excellent for cleansing your digestive system. I use it as such in breads and salads or you can mix it (powder) and use it in health drinks, fresh juices, etc... If you are constipated, this will help you. Always combine "fiber" with a lot of fluids e.g. water, fresh fruit and veggies juices for best results.

Linseed meal is another name for flax and is good as a fibre.
I have 2 tablespoons sprinkled on my breakfast cereal's,every morning and that stops from getting constipated, which in turn allows me to have clear skin, it's fairly cheap to buy.I hope this helps you.GOOD LUCK.
