The best way is to take a course and get certified.
Second best is to study! Know your muscles, where lymph nodes and major organs are located, and what tension in muscles feels like. Learn to make your fingers so sensitive they can feel through skin and surface muscles, too.
And you can get books from any larger bookstore or online that give good details on technique.
Don't use baby oil, it contains mineral oil that actually stays on top of the skin instead of moisturizing like everyone thinks it does. You can buy massage oil, gel, or lotion online (can get rather pricey but I like the lotion best), or just work with a good, light hand lotion.
