Whats better for a cold?!

Question: nyquil, Jack Danial's or all of the above

Answers: nyquil, Jack Danial's or all of the above

The main useful ingredient in Nyquil and Jack is the same, though there's about twice as much in the latter. The acetaminophen in Nyquil is useful for aches, so if you choose the Jack, pop a couple of Tylenol, too. The doxylamine is a silly ingredient meant to cause sedation, but then the alcohol does that, too. Dextromethorphan may help a little with the cough in a few people, but in most it doesn't. The Nyquil-D that contains pseudoephedrine may help a few adults (but not children) with nasal congestion.
Overall, given the mix of safety vs. effectiveness, I'd generally pick the stuff with the black label.

Nyquil, chicken noodle soup, Gatorade, and sleep.

Well for me Nyquill always works.

haha... my first instinct would be to say drink the Jack.. but that probably won't help much. I would think that some nyquil or Tylenol cold and cough(the daytime stuff is orange and the nighttime stuff is blue.) The tylenol works really really well... got me better in just a few days. you can get it at any drugstore or medicine isle.

Chamomile tea with honey and lemon.

lots of water, rest, vitamins, avoiding sweets, time! a small amount of alcohol can help with coughs, or so I've heard.

There is no cure for the common cold.
All you can do is keep conditions best for your immune system to beat it.

That is;
Plenty of rest & sleep.
Plenty of liquids.
Eat and drink nutritious foods.

get a recipe for a Hot Brandy. Nyquil has antihistamine, Jack does not, but it will make you feel better!

alka seltzer cold works in my family

A tea of grated ginger, juiced lemon, honey and hot water!
