Copper or Magnetized Bracelets?!

Question: Copper or Magnetized Bracelets!?
Has anyone had an experience wearing these copper or magnetized bracelets!. Apparently they are supposed to promote a general feeling of well being!. Do they really work, or is the effect mainly psychological!?!? A woman's husband that I knew from work wore one and he seemed to think it helped him!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Copper has been widely used for balancing in the "alternative health" field!. Jade is another material that is used for the same result!. It is true what the first reply stated that it could make you itchy!. It could also leave a green mark on your skin!. Both harmless!.!.!.

As far as magnet bracelets I know people who swear by them and I know people who say they don't work!. When shopping for these keep in mind there are many different types and strengths of magnets!. They are also supplies with different polarities!. What I mean by that is sometimes they have the negative (-) pole against the skin, sometimes the positive (+), and sometimes a multi-pole (-/+)!.

Negative (-) = sedating (usually for pain)
Positive (+) = stimulating
Multi-Pole = balancing

Copper bracelets is an old folk remedy for arthritis of the hands and fingers!. If your body is too acidic, then your skin will turn green!. That means you need to turn yourself more alkaline by removing sugars, dairy, and meat products for a while!.

Magnetized bracelets are supposed to work, in theory, by attracting the iron in the blood stream in large quantities to the location of the magnet!. For the iron to get there, that means more red blood cells are moving in that direction, usually towards the feet (if you wear the magnetized foot inserts) or the wrists!. More blood means increased circulation which also brings more pain-relieving endorphins!. The key to this therapy is that you have to have a normal iron count!. Being anemic means the magnet therapy will not work!.

I have a Chiropractic friend who tried this in his office for a period of time!. He keeps statistics on everything, including the effectiveness of magnet therapy on his patients!. BTW, the magnets have to be strong enough, so the ones you get in little stores or at health fairs or flea markets aren't the right strength!. Anyways, magnet therapy worked about 55% of the time!. In his practice, he only uses a therapy that is proven to have at minimum, a 67% effectiveness rate, so he won't use them or recommend magnet therapy anymore!.

As a Holisitic Healer, I have not heard the "well-being" benefits of either bracelet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Neither one "really" works!. Any effect is purely placebo!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's called the placebo effect; if you think something will help there's a chance you will convince yourself that a hocus-pocus remedy will work!. There is absolutely no scientific proof that any metal worn as a trinket will cure a physical problem!. Then again, if common sense and logic were rampant in our society people would not go to chiropractors and they would not ask you what sign you are when they meet you!Www@Answer-Health@Com
