By reading this website, you would have to assume green tea "extract" would give you more polyphenols value than a cup of green tea because an extract is standardized to contain a specific concentrated dosage of the marker compounds responsible for what green tea can do!. You'd have to make sure it says extract though otherwise you just have ground tea leaves in a capsule!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can buy good quality tea in many supermarkets and on the internet!. A good tea can be steeped repeatedly - up to three or even five times!. Thus, for a pound of tea, that can cost as little as 8 to 10 dollars, you can probably get up to 50 to 100 cups of tea!. And, it will taste delicious! (If you steep it correctly)

Use water at 160 to 180 degrees, well before the boiling point!. You will heat the kettle rattling, but not the full boiling sound!. The Chinese look for "shrimp eyes" or "crab eyes" -sized bubbles!. If they get to "fish eyes", then the water is too hot!. Steep it no longer than three to five minutes!. If you want a stronger tea, then use more tea!. Don't steep it longer as it will just get more bitter!. On the other hand, that bitter taste IS THE ANTIOXIDANT!. So the choice is up to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
