To add to some of the great info you got here ~ without enough vitamin B12, B6, calcium and vitamin D in your diet you will also never effectively assimilate your precious iron supplies !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. as they all rely upon each other for effective absorption?

Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin so simply get 10 - 15 minutes per day of safe sun exposure or eat more cold water fishes such as sardines, herring and salmon ( all rich in both calcium and vitamin D)!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. or supplement with a calcium supplement containing vitamin D3 (easiest to assimilate) and follow the instructions carefully on the bottle?

Calcium rich foods are ~leafy and green vegies, tofu, dried beans, kale, broccolli, swiss chard and cold water fishes such as sardines and salmon and milk and dairy products (if you can tolerate them)?

Vitamins B6 and B12 will be contained in a multi B complex supplement containing all the B's ie ~ B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 andfolate etc!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. the B complex of vitamins is essential for supporting a healthy neural, digestive and immune system !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. do not buy any of them individually but rather as a whole complex unless specifically told to do so by a nutritionally oriented physician or naturopath !.!.!.!.!.!. the B complex of vitamins works best as a group and will bolster your system against the stresses of everyday life we all experience ?

hope this helps a bit ?

Here is a list of meats that have iron!.!.!.see link!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is iron in red meat that is absorbed better than iron from other foods!.

Nuts contain plenty of iron and there is also a bit in bread and cereals!.

To help the absorption of iron extra vitamin C helps!. Without vitamin C your body will not absorb any iron at all!.

There is also some iron in broccoli and spinach as well as beans, peas and lentils!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try kangaroo meat! No joke it tastes really good and it is very high in easily-absorbed iron (higher than beef) and low in fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Liquid chlorophyll!. You can get it at the health food store!. It tastes terrible, but I was told I needed a blood transfusion because my iron was so low!. They gave me a chance to turn it around!. I took liquid chlorophyll once a day, two tablespoons, and my iron levels went up so fast they were amazed and I didn't need the transfusion!. It tastes terrible, but it's worth it!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
