Question: Nyquil works, made me fall asleep with in 20 min, can caffine slow the effect of this though!?

You should never take a stimulant and a depressant at the same time!. In higher amounts (like with many drugs), taking a combination of an "upper" and a "downer" can be fatal!.
Fortunately for you, caffeine is a lower level stimulant, but still!.!.!. you might be half-sleeping all night long (making you feel very groggy), and it might make some of the beneficial effects of NyQuil (like fighting a cold and whatnot) severely reduced!. I think caffeine would actually deliver it faster, but would cause some adverse effects such as; restlessness, insomnia, and stomach irritation!. You could fall asleep and wake up feeling like you haven't slept at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
