My grandmother had both of her legs removed through smoking, gangrene set in because of clogged her veins, my dad's youngest brother had one leg removed through smoking, my father was in hospital and died the day before he was to be operated on, to have both his legs removed through smoking!. I think he willed his death!.
Now if you wish to create a habit good or bad it takes 28 continuous days!.
You will find as you give up smoking, the urge to smoke will be first thing in the morning, morning tea, lunch time, afternoon tea break dinner and all the times in between, depending how much you are hooked on nicotine!.
When you decide to give smoking!?
Try this!. The first urge you get and want to smoke in the morning open your window and breath in deeply 6 times get the fresh air into your lungs!.
At the start you will find the urge to have a smoke will lessen but become more intense!.if you can get past the 18th day you have almost got it licked you are over two thirds of the way there
Don't let a little bit of tobacco push you around!.
Count the cost in money and in health that you will save!.
When you are offered a smoke by your friends knock it back saying 'no thanks' it takes a lot of courage to say no!.

Everybody is different, so you kinda have to experiment!. For me exercise helped alot, once I started running, I could see a big difference in my performance when I didn't smoke, and when I did smoke, it would REALLY slow me down! Eating healthy also helped me, because all that healthy food made me feel guilty about having a cigarette!.

A very big one though is staying away from people who smoke!. This one can be pretty hard since most smokers have friends and/or partners who smoke!. I asked my husband to start having his cigarettes outside, which led to less temptation (and a much cleaner smelling apartment!)

So yep! Those are my suggestion!. And most importantly, if you break down and end up having a cigarette, it's not over, just quit again!. And again!. And again, if that's what it takes, cause that's how it usually is!. Hey, it took me a few years, and it takes others more or less!. Everybody is different!. Smoking, like any other habit can be easily broken by fine tuning your mind!. The negative side effects of smoking are so obvious that most people do not need to be reminded of them again!.

Even then, Cigarettes are a revolutionary product!. Like most other addictions, smoking is the one thing that people want to stop, but they just cannot, because quitting on your own is just too difficult!. It
