As a Massage Therapist, I prefer getting a massage from a male therapist over a female therapist!. I have yet to find a female therapist that is not afraid of the human body or touching a female human body!. They all just seem to be very hesitant for some reason!. Male therapists just don't seem to have that shyness about them!. I also have Fibromyalgia and I find that not too many MT have experience in dealing with Fibro!. Sooooo, you solution is to keeping trying out different MT to find who/what you like!. Personally, I would search for someone who has their own website as you get a better idea of what and who they are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
As of right now I prefer a male therapist!. It was awkward at first but he is a great therapist!. I am more comfortable around women and they can be just as deep as a male therapist, I just prefer this particular male right now because I like his style, and he has been a therapist for a long time!. (he's actually my teacher) They are both wonderful try a few different people and see who you like!. Good luck!

I prefer females better to males simply because I have a really bad back and do not want the deep pressure applied by men to damage my back!. I once had massage by a male therapist and had to suffer from such severe backache that I vowed that I would never go to a male therapist again!.

Try them out! All massage therapists have a different style!. Men also tend to be a little stronger!. It's a personal preference, and since I have fibromyalgia, I really loved my (female) massage therapist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had both and prefer males!. They are a lot stronger and I think they do a better job!. I always have deep tissue massages and men do a WONDERFUL job compared to the many women I have been to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
