Cures for HPPD?!

Question: Cures for HPPD!?
Anyone know any medicines or natural remedies that can cure or reduce symptoms of HPPD (hallucinogenic persisting perceptive disorder)!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It really depends on what drug you did, and your individual physiology, and what things your are seeing (for instance in VERY RARE cases, it's not so much a hallucination as a a part of the brains normally supressed perception being opened up)!. I have heard of people having success through various detox programs and good chinese energetic practices (certain chi gung forms, tai chi and meditation)!. However, as you'd guess there isn't an exact procedure and it will require you to get a rather good person to help you!. Depending on how bad your problem is, it might be worth just accepting it and not trying a treatment path!. However, no more use of the said hallucinogen is always going to bring about a beneficial result (ranging from not getting worse to gradually recovering), so at the very least you should do that!.

As far as the treatments dental commando recommended, I think they're "really dumb!." First off, if you look at your condition verses what the drugs do the body, there is no overlap between them (aka HPDD is not caused by defective seretonin transmission, even though that's all the drugs boost)!. There are a broad class of psychiatric drugs which put you into a zoned out disassociated state where you don't really care about anything (and hence amongst other things are less bothered/affected by HPDD), but using them is an awful trade!. You gain very little and open up a new gigantic slew of problems in return!.

I know someone who might be able to help with this (and knows a lot), but it's somewhat of a pain to get ahold of him (his time is valuable etc), I have incomplete information on your condition, and odds are if I got a method from him you'd need to commit a large ammount of personal effort/time to it (as opposed to messing around with it for a weekend)!. If you're in the mood to try that get back to me and I'll see if I can go through the hassle to get the necessary info!. I have no desire to do it if you're ambivilant about it though!.

Hope that helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
