Homeopathic remedy/remedies for sleeplessness?!


Question: Homeopathic remedy/remedies for sleeplessness!?
Family member having great difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep!. He may be bipolar but appointment with psychiatrist is a ways off!. Very wound up at night and can't sleep, regular doc won't prescribe anything!. Melatonin: doesn't work at 2x dosage!. Valerian doesn't work!. Benadryl doesn't work at 50 mg!. Relaxation CD not helping (annoys him)!. Any suggestions for other natural or homeopathic help would be greatly appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is he getting any exercise!? If so, it needs to be increased to include strengthening and cardio!. Also look into Yoga, there are many many kinds, and that could help as well!. He needs to be working out almost to exhaustion, start slow of course, but push himself!. This will help greatly with moods, and getting to sleep!. Be sure to not do anything but sleep in the bedroom, so if there's a computer, tv or anything else, remove them, and look into room darkening curtains, and help him establish a night time routine!. This helps the brain know it's time to shut down!. Reading a book about an hour to two hours before bed time can help calm the mind!. Have you looked into Accupuncture!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are many Aromatherapy remidies if you are willing to try them!. There are many scents that cause the brain to go into a state of relaxation, try lighting lavender, chamomile, or sandlewood candles/incense!. Also soaps or lotions that have those scents might help!. Try this: Let him soak in a hot bath with lavender/chamomile soap, since heat tends to relax muscles, then dont let him have any caffeine before he sleeps but if he wants tea you should try hot tea with chamomile in it!. There is a brand called "Sleepytime Tea" which has helped me more than once!. Also since this is all natural you dont have to worry about overdosage!. Then when he is ready to lay down either light the incense or the candles, there is also a spray that you put on your pillow if you dont want to leave candles burning!. Lay off the drugs, let him stay up for several nights, nature will take over, or, let him come and take call with my residents and associates-guarantee he will sleep-really, let him stay up, take turns watching him, lay off the meds, because sometimes they have an opposite effect of what you would expect-if he becomes disoriented, destructive or tries to hurt himself, or someone else, then get him to the er!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
