Question: What is the difference between green and black tea with respect to healthiness!?
I have always heard great stuff about green tea because of antioxidants etc!., but I was wondering about black tea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Both green and black (and oolong) teas have antioxidants & polyphenols - all beneficial!. All have caffeine, although green has less!. The more processing the tea goes through, the less antioxidant is left, so green tea is better in this regard!. However, if the tea is a coarse grade that has been cut up finely and put into tea bags, it has lost much of the antioxidant benefit and even will brew a more caffeinated cup!. The best tea is a good quality loose leaf that is picked when the leaves are small!. Some good ones to try would be Young Hyson, Dragonwell or a Green Darjeeling!.

Check out Simpson & Vail for good quality loose leaf teas online, or visit an herb store in your area to see what they have!. http://www!.svtea!.com/foundations/store/s!.!.!.

BTW, Rooibos tea, an herbal tisane that looks & tastes similar to black tea, is higher in antioxidants than any other beverage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Green tea contains more antioxidants which is good for your whole body!. Regular tea contains some but not the great amount found in green tea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well I said the black tea tastes like its outdate even when its not!.!. I'd rather drink green tea sweetened!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
