Question: Any idea how to treat Acute Strep Throat!?
i just was diagnosed with acute strep throat!.!.!.i cannot speak or sleep!.!.!.i am taking antibiotics and and tylenol for pain!.!.!.!.what can i do at home to speed up the healing process!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not exactly pleasant, but it works!
Gargle with an antiseptic mouthwash!. Gargle several, several times a day!.
The strep, which lives and thrives in the throat, will not be able to live under these antiseptic conditions conditions!.
A friend of mine was told this by her doctor after repeat bouts of strep in her whole family!. She was even told to swab her baby's throat, gently and carefully, with a Q-tip to kill the strep!. Not an easy or pleasant feat! SHe also was told to throw out her toothbrushes and purchase the multi packs to use as disposable, changing to a new one daily!. And to use her dishwasher or add a little chlorine bleach to her dish water!.
This worked so well for her that she treated her femily without Dr's care several times over the years, this way!.
But!.!.!.keep in mind that Strep throat CAN turn in to Scarlet Fever!. A rash is often present with this, but not always!. So I don't suggest NOT going to the Dr!.!.!.especially with children!.
Strep can live quite comfortably outside of the body for a time, so careful what you touch, wash your hands frequently and do not share! :)

2!. Make a tea out of Isatis Root!. (Ban Lan Gen, in Chinese)!. Get root slices from a health food store or herbal store & simmer a small palm-size amount for 30-40 minutes!. Drink every 3 hours for quick relief!.
3!. Find a local acupuncturist/herbalist by searching your local yellow pages or www!.acufinder!.com!. We have quick remedies for strep throat that should give you relief after 1-2 doses!. Dosing is 3-5x/day for acute conditions!.

An old country doctor used to paint my throat with iodine swabs, it tasted nasty and stung a little but it would knock a cold,flu or strep throat out quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
