Alcohol and medicine?!

Question: Alcohol and medicine!?
Okay is taking some pain meds like 4 hours after having one beer dangerous!? I am leaning towards no!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well generally the use of alcohol and medication is not recommended!. But, because some herbal medication is actually extracted in alcohol and then consumed without any problems, you shouldn't worry to much about one beer!. Especially after four hours!Www@Answer-Health@Com

First lets get something straight!.!.!.!.alcohol is a toxin!. Yes it gives euphoric feelings at lower levels of consumption when the liver is able to keep up with ingestion and metabolize it!. But, if you take enough alcohol!.!.!.you will die from it!.

Tramadol is an atypical opioid, it does seem to work on some of the opioid reccptors!. It is usually combined with acetominophen!. Alcohol and acetominophen is a deadly combination because they can overwhelm the livers ability to "detoxify" !.!.!.in the real sense, not the Naturopathic sense!.
Also opioids and alcohol are respiratory depressants, so you may stop breathing!.

If you are taking pain killers of any sort, you should avoid alcohol for the duration!. If you can't avoid alcohol, then you have another problem

EDIT: Idiots like Keri Ric may do the world a favour by removing their DNA from the gene pool with that kind of stupid, dangerous, irresponsible attitude!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to stay away from acetaminophen (Tylenol) because combining alcohol with acetaminophen can be toxic to the liver, even in small doses!.
You need to stay away from opioid drugs (such as tramadol, morphine, etc!.) and alcohol because the combination may lower your respiratory rate so low that you stop breathing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are in doubt and that's why you are asking here in yahoo!. If you are in doubt simply don't do it!. Common sense is telling you "not a good idea"/ Listen to your gut not that thing in your head that says the beer is worth it!. Nothing NOTHING is more important than your health!. Believe me something you do now that might not have any side affects can show up when you're fifty in a life threatening side affect! I know you could care less if you think 50 is "old" and it wont matter by then anyway!.!.!. but when you are 50 life and health and come so much more clear to you!.
You can become an example of healthy choices or not it is up to you!.
Best wishes!.

You definitely not drink any alcohol when taking Tramadol, it may potentially make you seize!.

Depending on how much Tramadol you take daily, how much you weight and how much fat your have, 50mg of Tramadol may stay in your system for 24 hours!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, for you it is!.!.!.

The way I can tell is because you are obsessing about it - adding more and more info - and that is stressful!. So I would recommend that you don't take your meds and drink on the same day!.
Do one or the other and that way you can play it safe!.!.!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I love drinking and taking pain killers!. I know its dangerous but I don't take more than one if I'm already drunk!. Sometimes I'll take one and have a few drinks and it feels like I had 10 then the next morning I wake up feeling refreshed with no hangover!. The only bad thing that happens sometimes is I'll blackout and still be up and talking but just not know it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
