Valerian is a traditional remedy for aiding sleep!. I have used it to help calm and to reduce my anxieties before hitting the sack, and have found it to be very effective!. It makes you feel less worried, and drowsy!. I recommend using valerian root (can be picked up at a local health store like Holland and Barrett) and take about 900MG 1/2 hour before sleep!. It doesn't cause drowsiness in the morning either, which is great and also has no other adverse effects!. Try not to depend on it though, as you will develop a pattern where you body associates valerian with sleep, and will not get to sleep without it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I tried it many years ago and I didn't like the effect!. It brought a sense of disassociation that I found similar to drinking alcohol when you feel like you are clear headed and drop boundaries - resulting in actions that if you were thinking as clearly as usual you would not do!. I have spoken to other people since and they have all said that they felt the same as I did!.

I've heard St Johns wart is better!.

I now stick to aromatherapy - rosemary is unbelievably good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
