I want to be a traveling doctor?!
Question: I want to be a traveling doctor!?
Someone told me that there is a job that I can travel to poor countries such as [no offense] Africa and help children/adults who are in a poor health condition!.
This would be my dream job as I love helping people who are not so wealthy!.
Does anyone know about such possibilities!?
Will I still make a decent amount of money!?

It might be an unforgettable experience for say one year!. But it would be HARD WORK , and you'd always have to take care of your own health, wear sandals, put on insect repellant, boil your water, take anti malaria pills, have lots of shots for other diseases!.
It's something you'd do for the experience or love of it!.
It would be easier to make money where there are no mosquitos or malaria, guinea worm etc!.

I was part of Doctors Without Borders!.!.!. And my fiance still is!.!.!.
Anyway, we both got posted to Tanzania, although with different groups, but the experience was great, and so was the tan!.!.!.
But it is hard work, because some of the diseases are endemic, and spread quickly, I remember that there were seven outbreaks of malaria in one village in the space of a few days!. It turned out that the mosquitos were following nomadic farmers, but the point is that Doctors Without Borders is hard work, and can be very un-fun!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
