can you please advise what is the treatment of the above
thanking youWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Bell's palsy is a partial paralysis of the face!. Some of the muscles on the face become week resulting in the patient's inability to speak properly or open the mouth properly!. In allopathy, medications including steroids are prescribed, that too for long durations with the warning that it may not be cured completely!. I had it few years back and I took anti-viral tablets for a week and then used Ayurvedic oil massage treatment for two weeks!. Luckily I got cured completely!. May be Ayurveda will work for you also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bell's palsy is sudden, idiopathic, unilateral peripheral 7th cranial nerve palsy!. Symptoms are hemifacial paresis of the upper and lower face!. There are no specific tests for diagnosis!. Treatment may include corticosteroids, antiviral drugs (eg, acyclovir), lubrication of the eye, and intermittent use of an eye patch!.(Merck)
In many cases, no treatment is needed!. The goal of treatment is to relieve symptoms!.
Corticosteroids or antiviral (acyclovir and valacyclovir) medications may reduce swelling and relieve pressure on the facial nerve!. You must take these drugs early (preferably within 24 hours of when symptoms start) for them to be most effective!. However, there are no published studies showing that antiviral medications speed up or improve recovery from Bell's palsy!.
Your health care provider may recommend lubricating eye drops or eye ointments to protect the eye if you cannot close it completely!. You may need to wear an eye patch during sleep!.
Surgery to relieve pressure on the nerve (decompression surgery) is controversial and has not been shown to routinely benefit people with Bell's palsy!.(MedlinePlus)

I got it 20 years ago and it freaked me out!. The doctor rated my severity at a 2 out of 10 and offered me steroids for it,but I turned it down because he said it wasn't that bad!. It looked bad though as I could only smile on one side of my face!. You should get a doctor to look at it and maybe they have better treatments now as I had it 20 years ago!. DON'T WAIT because it can do permanent damage if it's a really bad case and you wait!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
