Answers:
Some knots just never go away!. They are also known as "trigger points!." We can work the crap out of them until they go away, but will usually come back the very next day, especially if you continue to have the same chronic holding patterns, which chances are you will!.

No one has farted on my table, but that would be really funny!Www@Answer-Health@Com

In answer to your first question, no!. It does not mean they have a serious problem it just means they have a hard time letting go of tension!. It could mean they have an underlying emotional problem!. Yes I have come across knots that I couldn't undo!. You don't want to work a large knot to long it could make it worse not better!. By working on it the proper amount of time it can help the tension ease!.
In answer to the second question!. If that happened I would not care and simply ignore it!. I'm sure most people try to hold it out of courtesy!. It's hard to sometimes, especially if your getting a deep tissue massage!. It's a natural thing and hopefully the therapist would be mature enough to ignore it so the client can feel comfortable at all times!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

A good masseuse does NOT work out all the knots at one time or there might be bruising of the muscles and fascia!. Yes, it does mean you have deep muscle knots, often in fact knots of fascia tissue!. Trigger point therapy does address this!. You should also do something like water aerobics, as this helps a lot--but NO weight lifting as this torques the muscle and fascia even more!. Yoga would also be good!.

Masseuses are used to gas--I get embarassed when it happens too, but you just say "sorry" and let it go!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people will have no issues letting flatulence fly while others are a little more self conscious and try to hold it in!. Holding it in can cause you to tense up, however, making it harder for you to relax and that makes it harder for the Massage Therapist to work on your muscles!.

As for knots in your back, a good Massage Therapist can get anything they want to relax and release!. Maybe you need a new Massage Therapist!. There is little that I can't get relief from in one session with someone!. It might need more then one session depending on the issue at hand, but I do see results after the first one!.
I wouldn't go for a massage at a spa if what you are looking for is pain relief!. While a spa massage is very nice and relaxing, it's not intended for pain relief, even if it's a deep tissue massage at a spa!. Find someone who does neuromuscular/trigger point therapy!. Your pain isn't always where the problem is, which is called referral pain!.

If you have a lot of knots deep in the muscle tissue the therapist may not be able to get rid of them in one session!. Working out knots also pushes toxins into the system!. If too many toxins are released in one session you may get sick!. A therapist usually doesn't work on one area for too long to avoid causing damage to the tissue!.

If you are doing the same physical activity that originally gave you the knots over and over after you get a massage, the knots will reform!. Stress also may cause the knots to reform!.

If you feel like your therapist isn't doing a good enough job, find a new therapist!. Be sure you're getting a therapeutic style massage that is supposed to work out knots in your muscles!. Many times people try to skimp on cost by getting a less expensive relaxation massage!. Relaxation massages don't work out knots!. Try getting a deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy or myofascial therapy!.

For your second question, it depends on how stinky your farts are!. Some people hold it in and some people let them rip!. Do whatever you're most comfortable doing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
