~*~ Yes this does work for a temporary relief of pain!. No, you do not need to heat it in any way!. It is best to use a high grade alcohol rub, and you use stems, leaves and shake (bud if you wish but no need), put as much as you can into to the bottle, and let it sit about 2 weeks!. While it is a temporary relief to pain, I suffer from major muscles spasms in my back!. If my husband rubs it onto my back, the relief only takes a minute to start kicking in!. The nice thing is that it does not smell like anything other then rubbing alcohol!. Green though!. LOL! But it works!!! And for me that is all that matters!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cure pains no, alleviate pains, well yes!. Cannabinoids block both the electrical and chemical transmission of pain in in vitro, in vivo, and clinical studies!. Anyone can argue their opinions, but peer-reviewed, scientific methodology that can be repeated confirms these facts!.

Now on to alcohol based tinctures!. Alcohol does extract THC due to interactions between the resorcinol moiety of THC and the hydroxyl group of isopopyl alcohol!. Isopropyl alcohol also increases epidermal permability!. Cannabinoids do not permate the epidermis, or skin, very well by themselves, with about 2-4picograms/sq mm permation; not enough for analgesic or anti-inflammatory activity!. Isopropyl may enhance THC permeation!.

Recent investigations have utilized plant derived chemicals called terpenoids, to enahnce the skin absorption of fentanyl and many birth control drugs via patches!. Marijuana is known to contain over 130 terpenoids, many of which enhance skin permeation of lipds!.

I personally make a lotion that is both water and fat based, known as an amphipathic mixture!. It utilizes ethosomal carriers; basically alcohol-modified detergents, which by my calculations and research, have the greatest ability to enhance cannabinoid-skin permeation!.

While it doen't cure arthritis, marijuana can releive its poathology and symptoms!. There are over 100 types of arthritis, but a few common problems exist bewteen all types!. The first is cartilage destruction, also common is synovial (joint) tissue loss!. These losses are associated with increased nitric oxide gas (NO) and inflammatory proteins secreted by immune cells called cytokines (TNF alpha, interlueokins-1beta, -6, -18)!. Production of both these chemicals directly attack cartilage, but also produce superoxides, or free radicals, which destroy tissues non-selectively!.

Cannabinoids are not only anti-inflammatory both by reducing the production of inflammatory cytokines and reducing thier signaling pathways, but they also reduce nitric oxide in synovial tissues!. Furthermore, the government itself has funded research that supports the fact that THC and CBD are 20x more potent antioxidants than vitamins C and E! This means they reduce superoxides!.

So in summary, yes the alcohol + marijuana tincture will help!. Doubtful some will believe these statements; dont trust this molecular biologist, trust the dozens of reserachers and their citations below!. You trust the government!? OK, trust their publication below as well!.

Trust science, not politics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its called a tincture!. herbalists use tinctures with many different herbs for many different reasons and they do do what they are supposed to when made right!. i'm sure that to make a THC tincture you would have to also heat treat the alcohol-weed mixture, and i'm not sure whether it is effective for pain relief or not, i've never researched weed tinctures before!. but i assume people wouldn't use it unless it did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i doubt this method works, there's no logic to it!. the thc would still be in the bud!.

however, medical marijuana clinics do sell marijuana balms that can be rubbed on joints to ease pain- go to your local clinic and check it out, some people swear by it!. i dont know too much about those specific mixtures personally!.
