How do you meditate or learn to when?!


Question: How do you meditate or learn to when!?
MY GP has told me to learn, I find this real hard and over the years have had lessons [and also lessons on relaxing]!. My mind goes round and round, IQ very high and that is the cause of the trouble according to the GP!. Funny - how do I bring it down!?!?!?

Seriously anyone any ideas on how to meditate with a monkey chattering all the time brain!.


I can do tai chi form but still think all the time and don't relax or meditate doing this, obviously doing it wrong!. So hints here as well

1) For educational purposes!.!.!.start a song going round in your head, and let it pick up steam and run for a while!. Then, try to cut it dead - chop it short, hear absolute silence instead!.

This is a transferable skill that you can apply to verbal thoughts!. Whenever you notice mental word streams forming, cut them short!.!.!.just don't finish the sentence!. As you practice, you'll find the unpruned parts of your sentences get shorter and shorter, and eventually they'll become completely unarticulated!. Ten seconds between thoughts is a realistic short term goal, with a couple of minutes being realistic in the medium term!.

2) Alternatively, adopt a discipline that you can channel thoughts into rather than suppressing them!. The one below will transform your tai chi practice, as over time you'll be able to actually feel flows when you're doing it right!.!.!.

Meditation is good for general health!. If your mind cannot stay still!.then concentrate on something slowly and easily!. That is breathing, your own breathing!.Since you have high IQ; then just breathe slowly and deeply with your mouth shut,tongue turned slightly up touching the tip and say to your mind why!. Slowly,when you had settled down,you shall feel the qi( energy) flowing freely and you have attained the basis of meditation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same problem!. I first started learning how to meditate and this one book told me to think of nothing!. Nothing! That is impossible for my mind! So I learned yoga and that helped a lot!. They said just to concentrate on your breathing!. Take a deep breath and imagine your lungs filling from the top all the was to the bottom!. Then breath out and imagine your lungs emptying completely from the bottom to the top!. Do this several times!. Just think of your breathing!. Then I feel my body from my head to my feet and think about how the energy feels in each area!. Now this is meditating with a purpose of health in mind!. But it helps me relax and stay focused!. Another great and easy way to meditate is to sit quietly and sip hot tea!. For some reason we begin to go into a meditative state when we do that!. Give it a try!. I just sit in a comfortable position!.
Make sure you have loose clothing on!.
Make sure your spine is strait!. Light a candle!.
If you have use a water fountain the sound is soothing
listen to yourself breath!. If your mind starts chattering too much i think of beautiful pictures of mountains, water falls!.
flowers something that quite your mind!.

Then just concentrate of breathing!. It takes time but it worked for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
