What are some good natural anti-depressants for a 16-year old?!


Question: What are some good natural anti-depressants for a 16-year old!?
I've looked in to St!. John's Wort, and a family member of mine has gotten great results from sublingual B12!. I've been really depressed for at least two years now!. My parents don't know, but I've thought about suicide a lot, and gone as far as making a detailed plan!. Obviously I never followed through, but I still got that bad!. Earlier today my mom said she thinks I'd do well on antidepressants -she's on an SSRI- so here I am!.

I've been better recently but I still can't focus, am rarely really happy, and just don't think things will work out in my life!. I've realized -and been told- that I'm bringing the rest of my family down with me, and I don't want to do that!.

I'm not taking any medications!. I've had therapy in the past and I have a talky family- I also have a pretty good life!. I have a supportive family that cares about me; ooh, harsh!. I get regular exercise!. I think the problem just has to be chemical!. Either that, or maybe some sort of treatment would help me get enough energy back to do something with myself!.

I'm basically just putting my faith in the power of homeopathy here, because it seems like for every three studies there are four opinions!.

I would first recommend that you get a hold of a good B complex!. The various B's especially B-1 are great at leveling mood swings and relieving tension!. B is best taken along with vitamin C and a vit called calcium&magnesium!. the 3 seem to work well together!.

The second thing I would recommend is that you go to a chiropractor or some other natural doctor and get checked out for allergies!. Believe it or not, allergies are one of the top reasons for depression and other troubles!. You may find that the one thing you eat daily is the thing making you miserable!.

get a b complex from a health food store!. Also standard processing makes something called orchex and mintran that is wonderful!. Most people are depressed because they have a self acceptance problem!. There is a good book called happiness now i think would help uWww@Answer-Health@Com

I truly want to support the first answer!. Learn about your food habits and if there are any foods your body is "allergic" too!. This does not always have to mean breaking out in hives or splotches!.

Great reading is "Eating Right For Your Type" about the foods that do well for certain blood types!.

Are you a sugar-aholic!? Sugar really spoils a mood, and may be a cause for underlying Candida (overgrowth of yeast)!. Check out "The Yeast Connection" book and website!.

Personally I found my body does not well/ gets very sluggish and feels depressed from nuts and wheat products!. And I love them both!. But when I do without them within a few days I get out of that funk!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
