Try pure essential lavender oil!. Rub some on your temples and lie down in a dark quiet room and just breathe it in!. A lot of times migraines are caused by hormonal surges!.

Have you changed your diet at all!? Moved recently!? Gotten new furniture, carpets, paint recently!? Migraines can be due to food allergies, environmental toxins, outgassing, etc!. Look up food allergies online and you will see that people can be allergic to the most common, mundane things - catalope, strawberries, etc!. Of course, a big one is MSG!. Also dehydration or too much salt!.

The best remedy for headaches I have found is to put a wrapped cold pack (or bag of frozen veggies) on your forehead and (at the same time) a warm compress on the base of your head/neck!. It feels great and helps by dilating and constricting blood vessels with the cold and heat!. Use it for about 20 minutes, then take it off for 20, put it back on, take it off, etc!. Oh and drink a lot of water, close your eyes, listen to music if you'd like, and think happy thoughts!.
