Medicine and alcohol?!?!

Question: Medicine and alcohol!?!!?
I've been sick the past few weeks and last night I finally took Robitussin!. Not thinking!.!.I drank a few beers also last night right after I took the medicine!. Im sure it probably wasnt a good idea to mix the two but like I said I didnt think anything of it since I never take medicine for colds!. Anyway I had trouble sleeping last night and I got really hot and started to feel nauseous!. Today I feel even worse!.!. light-headed, dizzy, and still nauseous, but not feverish!. I was wondering when this feeling will wear off and what should I do until then!? Should I make myself vomit!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Chances are, it's your illness producing the symptoms, and not the Robitussin with the beer chasers!. Make yourself some peppermint tea to help the nausea, and go to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nah, the alcohol is probably metabolized by now, as is the medicine!.

Alcohol doesn't mix with most medicines, especially prescription, but even over the counter!. But in this case, I doubt you did any harm!.

You'll be fine, and you've learned an important lesson!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
