The only REAL way to rid yourself of Plantar Fasciitis (which is what you are describing) is to perform a few simple stretching exercises!. They can be found here: http://www!.plantarfasciitisbraces!.com/pl!.!.!.

What is Plantar Fasciitis!?

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of localized heel pain and is the most common foot problem seen in medical practices!. More than 2!.5 million new cases of plantar fasciitis are reported each year!.

Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia, a ligament structure that supports the arch of the foot!. The plantar fascia is a tough, fibrous band of connective tissue that runs from the heel bone to the ball of the foot!. It plays an important part in the normal foot mechanics during walking and running!.

Plantar fasciitis occurs when the plantar fascia is strained as a result of increased or over activity, poor foot biomechanics, or in association with the normal aging process!. The ligament is typically strained repeatedly, over time before the onset of plantar fasciitis!. As the ligament stretches beyond its normal extension it causes the soft tissues of the fascia to tear, usually at the point where attached to the heel bone!. This leads to inflammation, heel pain, and possible growth of a bone spur (calcaneus) at the heel bone attachment!.

Causes of Plantar Fasciitis

In active young and middle aged adults plantar fasciitis is typically caused from running, jumping or walking on hard surfaces!. Runners, tennis players and basketball players are often affected by plantar fasciitis!. Biomechanic factors of the foot can cause plantar fasciitis!. People will high arches, flat feet, or tight tendons (Achilles tendons) are susceptible to developing plantar fasciitis!. Excessive inward twisting (pronation) can cause tension on the plantar fascia as the arch lowers during standing or walking!. Aggravating factors, such as being overweight or wearing poorly cushioned shoes with no arch support can also contribute to development of plantar fasciitis!. In the natural aging process tendons, ligaments and muscles start to lose their normal elasticity and resilience making them more prone to strain just during normal daily activities!. Plantar fasciitis is very common in the active elderly!.

Common Causes of Plantar Fasciitis:

* Increased or athletic activity
* Running, jumping, walking or standing on hard or uneven surfaces
* Flat feet or high arched, rigid feet
* Poor supporting shoes
* Large weight gain, pregnancy or overweight
* Tight plantar fascia ligament or Achilles tendon

Like several people told you already it sounds like you have plantar fasciitis!. You'll know that it is if the pain is particularly bad in the mornings!.

You can see a massage therapist to treat it or try massaging it yourself!. If you massage it yourself massage the soles of your feet starting from the front or ball of your foot working your way back to the heel!. This will hurt, but it will make it feel better once you're done!. Once your thoroughly massaged the bottom of your foot massage your calf!.

You can do stretches to loosen the foot but these should only be done when the foot is warm!. Stretching a cold foot will cause further damage to the fascia!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your local health food store should have some Topricin!. I've been using it for foot related problems that are supposedly only helped by a doctor, and my foot is doing much better!. I've not used it for your situation, but have been very impressed with it!. It would be worth a try, and hopefully will at least give you pain relief!. It isn't that expensive, so worth the attempt IMO!.

Good luck!. If it doesn't heal in a week, I'd definitely get to the medical professional of your choice!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is called Plantar Fasciitis and it can be very painful and/or debilitating!. I had it and I was miserable!. I tried many different therapies, but I finally got a doctor to prescribe ultrasound therapy and it finally healed my feet after maybe a month or two of bi-weekly treatments!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do a castor Oil pack for three days in a row and more than likely your foot will feel great!. Simply do an internet search for Castor Oil pack and follow the directions!. It is cheap and I have used it many times to get over tennis elbow as well as knee problems!. Make sure you use wool flannel not cotton!. Heat it with a heating pad and sleep on it for three days in a row!. My Tennis elbow went away in 2 days but I still did the third just in case!.
