Bad news nothing has any appreciable effect on the progress or resolution of a cold!. management is confined to attempts to give symptom relief only!.
Paracetamol and fluids are the best advise, you could try counting to 259,200, the number of seconds in 3 days, it will probably be gone by the time you finish counting!.
Of course oranges, lemons, honey, garlic, soup, zinc, multivitamins, high dose vitamin C, soup, alcohol and echinacea are well proven to have no useful effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hydrogen Peroxide!. Tried it and it worked for me twice!.
Pour in each ear until the bubbling stops, then drain by turning your head to the side!. After you have done both ears take 1/4 capful of the Hydrogen Peroxide mix with 1/4 water and sniff some into each nostril!.
Then blow your nose, I actually saw the bug come out in the form of greenish phlegm!. A friend of mine was amazed it worked for him too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hot chicken stock (not too hot),
hot green tea!.
drink as much as you want!.
for food:
fresh, raw, fruits (pineapple and cantaloupe has natural enzymes to help w/ digestion) and vegatables (all contain Vit!. A,C,K, which help in healing)!.
Try to stay away from sugary or alcoholic drinks, sodas, foods containing wheat, sugar, corn, yeast, and dairy products (all are allergic foods, and colds and virus' feast on them, and will cause you to feel worse!.)

Personally, I would have something that has honey or garlic in it, because they are natural antibiotics!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
