Answers:
I almost gave rk a thumbs down, but he/she has a point, in a simplistic way!.

Chantix definitely worked for me to take away any desire to have a cigarette!. It removed the issue of will power!. I had no negative experiences taking it!.

But the bottom line to successfully quit smoking - no matter what method you use - is that you have to want to be a nonsmoker!. We have ourselves convinced that it's hard to quit, I'm addicted, I can't do it on my own, I need a cigarette when I drive, can't talk on the phone without a smoke, quitting will stress me out, and on and on!. We believe what we say to ourselves and trying to make changes that go against our own thoughts is where the biggest struggle for changing ANY habit lies!.

To change habits, change thoughts!. And the new thought processes need to be in the positive mode because the mind works towards what you want to acheive, not what you want to stop doing!. For instance, you want to quit smoking!. The type of thoughts to focus on are
'I want to be smoke-free',
'I want to save money',
'I want to have this monkey off my back',
'I want that clean taste in my mouth',
'I want more energy and better sleep that comes from being smoke-free',
'I want to improve my long-term health'
Your mind will respond to positive goals and work towards them!. The more you focus on these types of thoughts, the more your mind will work to acheive them!.

Avoid thoughts like
'I want to quit smoking'
I don't want lung cancer
I don't want to waste my money any more
I want to quit coughing all the time
I don't want this nasty taste in my mouth all the time

These types of thoughts will focus on what you DON'T want and it will become a greater battle for you!.

No matter what your method of quitting, you have to want to do it in a positive way for positive reasons! Set some goals and purposes for being a non-smoker and your incredible mind will help you acheive those goals!

Congrats on taking this step! You will not regret your efforts!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's all in the mind!.If you are fully determined to quit and have a positive attitude, the magnanimity of side effects reduces drastically!.To help it further, avoid smoker's company for a few days and take councilling also!.It works out beautifully when you appreciate a better glow returning to your face, appetite and taste of food improving and feeling more energetic, sleeping well and bubbling with health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
