Do you think i should be taking some sort of iron supplement?!
Question: Do you think i should be taking some sort of iron supplement!?
I have been bleeding for six weeks, and i was just wondering if i should!. I have been to the doctors and they think it is caused by the implanon!. If i should take something, can anyone reccomend anything that doesn't have to be finalised by a doctor first because i have had enough of the ones i have seen already for now!. If you are on a medication or have a condition, you need to talk to your doctor before taking iron!. Iron can have terrible effects in the body if its mixed with the wrong thing or taken with certain diseases!.
I know doctors can suck, but sometimes it is necessary for you to go in there and make sure they get you some answers and tell you what you need to do!. Don't let them run the show!. If you are on a drug that is causing this, tell them you are not satisfied with the result (bleeding)!.
But, this may be a "normal" side effect in the beginning of the birth control, which doesn't mean its healthy, but might clear up soon!.

If you do end up taking iron, I suggest Floradix liquid iron which is easy to digest, won't hurt your tummy, has higher amounts of elemental iron than other tablets, and a liquid form has an added benefit: it will taste metallic if you are low in iron and as you continue to take it & start to store it up in your cells, it'll start to taste the like fruit base and you know you can taper off of it!. Floradix needs to be refrigerated and used within 3 weeks!.
A good supplement you can take in small doses would be Megafood Blood Builder in tablets!. Check your local health food store!.

If you are bleeding for six weeks, that is not normal!. Either go to your actual doctor, and talk about you problem!. If he can't help you, go to a nother doctor!. You may have a serious condition!. Don't wait to long!.

But did your doc checked your hormon level first!? Maybe you have a deficit of estrogene!? Or you might have developed a zyst!. It is mostly harmless, mostly they dry up again!. But if your bleeding will not stop, you have to do something!.

You can help yourself with either a multi-vitamin containing iron (probably best) or just an iron supplement like Geritol or SSS Tonic!. You are probably going to need it if the Implanon continues to cause excess bleeding!.
Don't avoid your doctor, though!. He needs to know all your side effects!. Be sure to let him know you're taking an iron supplement and what type of iron is in it!.

When you are loosing that much blood you REALLY need to be taking vitamin K, vitamin A and iron supplements!!
