Still gaining weight?!

Question: Still gaining weight!?
I am about 80 lbs overweight!. For the last two months, I have been eating a protein drink with fat burners for breakfast, taking CLA twice a day, HTP, and eating hemp (for omega three)!.

I have also started a new job, and have a lot of stress in my life!. I find it hard to exercise because I am so busy!. My eating is sometimes good, but I eat too much about once or twice a week!.

My question is, do you think the fat burner shake, CLA, HTP and Omega threes should still be helping me to lose a bit of weight, in spite of the other factors!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Fat burner shakes will only help you lose weight if you are burning more calories than you are taking in each day!. Too much stress can inhibit weight loss!. Busy people can find time to exercise if it is a priority!. Cardiovascular exercise and diet modification will help deal with stress!. Make time for exercising by getting up 20 minutes earlier and go for a brisk paced walk or a jog!.

Fine tune your metabolism and make your body a more efficient fat burner!. To guide you through this process read "Best Way to Lose Weight" and "How to Exercise for Maximum Fat Burning!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately, what you eat is more important than the supplements that you take for losing weight and exercise is at least as important as what you eat!.

Exercise helps to raise your metabolism so that you burn more calories throughout the day even while you are sitting at work and eating regular healthy meals gives your body the energy that it needs and prevents your metabolism from slowing down because your body thinks you're starving and goes into "calorie conservation mode!."

One way to get exercise in when you are busy is to do a half hour of dancing or aerobics at home or in your office [if you have a private office, of course] or read or watch tv while peddling an exercise bike!. Even fast walking will do -- it doesn't matter what you do, just move your body!.

One other thing that I can suggest: there are several women I know who are very very heavy that had "tried everything" who have lost drastic amounts of weight by cutting all sugar out of their diet!. Not all carbohydrates, just and only sugar!. No sodas, no sweets, nothing!. One woman has lost over 100 pounds this way!. Since you don't need sugar in your diet, it wouldn't hurt to try it and see if it works for you as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My sister sent it to me during the week and it was really interesting!. Since exercising doesn't fit into your schedule you might like this!.

I don't know much about the supplements you mentioned, but I always associated protein shakes with weight gain!. Unless you are on a strict carb-reduced or carb free diet, I think protein shakes generally bulk you up rather than slim you down!. At least that's been my experience!.

Good luck with whatever you choose! I know how hard losing weight can be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

O sweetie it's the protein!. If I as much as look at the bottle of protein powder I put on weight!. Protein is for bulking up no matter what fat burners are in it!. You have to exercise really hardcore to make protein shakes worth while!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It very well could be that you have reached a plateau -- and usually when this happens you need to ramp up your physical activity to jump start your metabolism!.

Your body could also be used to what you have been giving it and you need something else to "fool" it!. A good 1,600 calorie sugar free, fat free, low carb diet may be the ticket your body needs to recharge your metabolism and start losing weight again!. With this diet, you WILL lose weight in spite of all your factors and circumstances!. My suggestion is to follow a diabetic diet !.!.!.!. just stay within the 1,600 calories a day and you will be amazed at how the pounds will just melt away!. Stay on the diet until you reach another plateau, then simply decrease your caloric intake by 50 - 100 per day and your metabolism will jump start again!.

The doctors put my husband on this diet when he was first dx with diabetes -- in the first month he lost 1 pound a day, it has tapered off now, but he had 100 pounds to lose!. And of course, he is a big man and he started out on 2,000 calories and we have graduated him down to 1,600 calories a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would set aside all those special "fat burners" and protein drinks!. It obviously is not working!. Try this instead:
1!.) Eat a big, healthy breakfast (bacon and eggs, the works!) with lots and lots of calories!. Your body will burn those calories during the day!.
2) Eat a moderate meal at lunch time!.
3) Eat very lightly at supper time!. Your body will not burn many calories during the night, so the calories you eat for supper are what will stay with your body and make you gain weight!. Fill up on salad!.

If you drive to work, park your car two or three blocks away from your place of work, and power walk to work!. - and back to your car, of course!. If you take a bus or subway, then get off a few stops ahead and power walk!.
Whenever you go to a shopping mall, park as far from your desired door as possible!. - It will take away a lot of stress in finding a parking space and will give you more exercise - of the outdoor variety!.

These are forms of exercise which will actually take no time at all!. You will get to work as fast as if you were looking for a parking place close to the job!. Walking a few block really doesn't take much more time than driving those blocks!. Surely you can spare five or ten minutes!.

Also, you will feel much better!. And you will work better an more efficiently!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
