Question: Whats the best way to treat !?
ive had strep throat 3 times in a less than a month!. it really hurts!. cant swallow and really hard to eat!. i already went to the doctor and got penecilin for 10 days, but the strep is slowly coming back!.

i think natural remedies are the REAL CURE!!!

these are some remedies that i have used that really work but hoping someone can tell me more!!?!?!?!

1!.Drink ALOT of hot green tea or natural tea, add plent of honey and some sugar
2!.Gargle with warm salt water!. heat up tap water in microwave then add plenty of salt and mix thoroughly
3!. Take plenty Ibuprofen everyday!. Tylenol extra strength and regular ibuprofen work the best!. also take night time tylenol!.
4!. Mix honey with lemon juice from a lemon, NOT FROM A BOTTLED LEMON JUICE PRODUCT! mix it up real good and drink plenty of that!.
5!. Finally, Cough Drops!. they help ease the pain and clear your throat up real nice!.

Also, Vitamin C mate !.!.!.!. take a Vitamin C supplement in a powdered form containing bioflavonoids (enhances the power of vitamin C 10 fold) 1,000 mg (1 teaspoon) dissolved in water or juice 3 - 4 times daily!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. this will effectively kinghit any cold or symptoms of respiratory or throat infections and drastically reduce your symptoms !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. try it mate, it works !.!.!.!.!. vitamin C has been shown to reduce inflammation and speed healing !.!.!.!.!. it also has effective antihistamine properties!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. if you're taking lots of aspirin you're losing vitamin C!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. aspirin triples the rate of excretion of vitamin C!.!.!.!.!. cut right back on caffeine containing drinks such as coffee and tea and eliminate sodas and soft drinks and pop as they will all dehydrate you terribly and rob you of your precious water soluble supplies of vitamin C!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. drink 8 glasses of water daily and hydrate yourself properly to help your body function at peak levels and eliminate the germs!.

Ditch processed sugar as bacteria will literally feed and multiply on it!.

Other things that will rob you of your precious supplies of vitamin C are stress, alcohol, aspirin and otc counter cold and flu meds, antiobiotics, sleeping tablets, laxatives and diuretics and smoking!.!.!.!. Numbers 1 and 2 are fine, but #3 will kill you eventually!.

Taking "plenty [of] ibuprofen everyday" will cause liver damage and kidney failure over time!.

In a study of 1,700 women, one in 10 of the 1,700 women studied over 11 years experienced a 30 percent decline in their kidney's filtration function!.

If you have tested positive for strep three times in a month, you never got rid of it the first time!. You must take the antibiotic for the full ten days or you risk not killing it all off!. If the antibiotic is not working well enough you may need a different one!.

An old home remedy for sore throats is a tea made with lemon, apple cider vinegar, cayenne, and honey!.

It is made by adding one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, a tiny pinch of cayenne pepper, the juice of 1/4 lemon, and one teaspoon of honey to a cup of hot water!. Stir!.

Typically, up to four cups a day is suggested!.

If you have access to a health food store or something you might try slippery elm tea or buy some powdered marshmallow herb (unless you're diabetic, then you need to stay away from it) You make the tea from it by adding one tablespoon of the dried root to a cup (8 ounces) of boiling water, steeping it covered for at least 10 minutes, and then straining!. Herbalists usually suggest drinking up to three cups a day!.

Teas like throat coat or throat comfort that have licorice root in them are also good but you need to be careful about how much of it you use and people with high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, breast cancer, liver disease, or kidney disease, or those who are taking certain drugs such as digoxin, thiazide or loop diuretics, or corticosteroids should not use licorice!.
