Magnesium Oxide is notoriously hard to digest !.!.!.!.!.!. a chelated magnesium supplement would be easiest for your body to assimilate such as a citrate in a powdered form !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. nausea and heartburn may also be occuring because they contain an ingredient that disagrees with you such as lactose !.!.!.!.!.!.!. or because you aren't taking them with food!.

For tremors and palpitations eat more foods rich in magnesium such as leafy and green vegies (raw or lightly steamed as cooking devitalises them), organic raw almonds, brazil nuts or sunflower seeds and wholegrain breads and cereals such as brown rice !.!.!.!.!.!. take a multi B complex supplement that contains all the B's also ie ~ B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and folic acid etc!.!.!.!. as they work best as a group !.!.!.!.!.!. perhaps the palpitations are being caused by a lack of calcium in your diet (leafy and green vegies are rich in both calcium and magnesium) and this would inhibit the effective assimilation of vitamin B12 which would produce heart palpitations !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. other things that could be robbing you of your calcium supplies are sodas, soft drinks and pop (they disrupt the calcium phosphorus balance and leach the calcium straight from your bones),taking aspirin, too much tea and coffee (inhibits its absorption) eating too much sugar or protein and taking antacids!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.;0)

Magnesium oxide is a chemical compound!. When you take a supplement that is made in a laboratory, your body can respond badly to it!.

If you want magnesium, you need to take some that is a whole food supplement that the body will recognize as food!. The body runs on nutrients, so normally will use the nutrient to handle a health challenge or to build health, but putting something into the body that comes from a quarry or a laboratory will not be able to be used by the body!.

I would find a whole food brand of magnesium!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Magnesium Oxide side effects include cramping and diarrhea!. It's typically used for as an antacid to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, or acid indigestion!. Magnesium oxide also may be used as a laxative for short-term, rapid emptying of the bowel (before surgery, for example)!. It should not be used repeatedly!. Medline Plus advises to tell your doctor is you experience these side effects!.

I don't believe that supplements will help your condition unless you have a magnesium deficiency - perhaps you should look at just altering your diet!.
