If you can catch it at the beginning, take three echinacea tablets per day for the first few days and zinc tablets every two hours FOR TWO DAYS ONLY!.
Drink a lot of fluids, warm tea and honey is very soothing!. Stay away from milk products and eat lightly!. Don't worry if you are not terribly hungry -- your body needs fluids much more than it needs foods to heal from a cold!.

Vitamin C, but you can't take Vitamin C thats made in the laboratory, the body doesn't recognize it as food and won't assimilate it!. You want a whole food Vitamin C!.
You can get a good daily amount of Vitamin C from two kiwi fruit daily, or take a whole food vitamin C as it is concentrated food that gets absorbed and used to fight the cold!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is a controversial one but it has directly worked for me!. I had been taking Mangosteen juice-first Xango which I don't believe helped-then pure Mangosteen juice 1oz!. 1x a day for a few months!. I got my first cold of the school year (I'm a teacher)!. It was the cold that was going around last month that was combined with fever, and severe fatigue!. People told me it knocked them out!. Well, colds usually last a week!. I woke up on a Friday in October and could barely walk I was so tired and dizzy with congestion!. No fever, though!. I called in sick went back to bed and slept the ENTIRE day and night!. I woke up Saturday and felt better!. By Monday morning I felt myself again!. I attribute this to Vitamin C I take every day and the mangosteen juice I was taking every day!.

Zinc can also help but be careful of taking too much as over 40 mg!. a day can lower necessary copper levels!.

I have a terrible cold right now!. I just discovered how to overcome all the symptoms though!. You will need a glass of warm jell-o, a drug called an expectorant, a slurpee, nachos and cheese and bean dip!. It's made my throat feel a whole lot better!. Try it!!!!!
