What effect does marijuana have on the mind?!

Question: What effect does marijuana have on the mind!?
I'm well aware of marijuana and its side effects, or lack thereof!. So if anyone goes an a drug crusade about "pot being the wrong path", please heed this!.

After hearing an interview with the satirist George Carlin, I started to think more seriously about starting to use marijuana!. He stated that by smoking weed, he gained a heightened sense of his place in the grand scheme of things!. Carlin went from politically correct to brutally honest and lewd, over a course of 50 years, youtube him if you don't know his comedy well!. His observations were on the dot in my opinion!.

I know many people become dazzled with irrelevant concepts when high, but I've never actually heard anyone say that marijuana has improved their senses besides Carlin, or has opened their eyes to new perspectives!.

Is this just post-euphoria talking, or does something actually develop in the mind if you take fixed dosages of marijuana on a daily/frequent basis!?

I don't want to be like Carlin, I just want to feel, or see what he saw!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mind altering substances can have many affects on the brain!. Some say that marijuana can heighten creativity!. In my opinion drugs can alter your state of mind and allow you to view the world from a new or different perspective!. From birth we are taught to think and act in certain ways!. The purpose of this is so we can function productively in society!. The problem is that we sometimes take the programming too well and we lose the ability to think for ourselves!. We develop preconceived notions about the world we live in and go about our lives!. Some would argue that altering your state of mind allows you to see things from a clear or fresh point of view!. This can make you capable of critical thought as Carlin displayed so well!. He took a step back and saw the world for what it was, not what he had been told it was!.
LSD was used in the 60's to break people free from the confines of society!. You have heard the saying "tune in, turn on, drop out"!. What Timothy Leary (a huge proponent of LSD) meant by this was wake up!
The 60's movements were fueled by drugs as so many young adults were opening their minds to radical ideals!. Ideals like free love, war protests and equal rights!. Yeah, those were radical ideals back then!. Is it any wonder why charges for selling LSD can include conspiracy to overthrow the government!? They don't want a bunch of George Carlins running around speaking the truth, they want obedient workers/consumers!.
With that being said, yes, some mind altering substances can have a positive affect when used in moderation!. However people are different and may react in different ways!. Some people can't handle the "heightened senses" and instead of euphoria they experience paranoia!. They don't want to know about the "grand scheme" they are happier not knowing!. In summation, drugs don't guarantee any sort of "enlightenment"!. I know a lot of naive people that smoke daily!. If your already looking for these "new perspectives" then you don't really need pot, but it may help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The risks of using cannabis outweigh any so called 'benefits!.' Increasing evidence shows the use of cannabis can have detrimental effects mentally, it can cause anxiety, paranoia, psychosis and Schizophrenia in some people!.

I see time and time again people trying to justify it's use, it doesn't matter how much you want to believe in something, it won't make it happen! Cannabis will ALWAYS be bad for you, both physically and mentally!.

Edit
In the 1960s and 70s, the type of 'hippie cannabis' doing the rounds contained less THC content!. It is now stronger and more potent and has a much more psychotropic effect!. Studies have shown, a quarter of the population have a genetic disposition that makes them more susceptible to 'cannabis psychosis!. '

A 2007 study also found that whilst one's use of cannabis increased their risk of mental illness by around 2%, approximately 14% of the UK
