What can i use for ear aches( for the pain)?!

Question: What can i use for ear aches( for the pain)!?
I have a bad earache, & have for days!.!. I CANNOT use drops of any kind due to a Hole in my ear leading to the eardrum ( doctors were supposed to close the hole with a skin graft but didnt)!. I ended up with water in my ear a little over week ago & Now i have very bad pain!. what i want to know is what can i use to relieve the pain without using Drops!?!. Again i cannot use any kind of drops because it goes straight to the eardrum ( which if looked at you can see its exposed)!. so what other type of stuff can i use!? say maybe on a cotton ball!.!? I need relief fast!. In case your wondering!.!. I have the hole because A doctor shattered my eardrum ( yes im deaf in the ear) & already had 1 ear operation to take out some corroded bones in the ear, & get out the infection, & was supposed to have a follow up operation!.!.!. to close up the ear canal leadinfg to the drum but it never gor done!.!. so washing my hair can be painful if i get water in the ear!.!. thanx for the advise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I know you cant do the drops, however this may help and there may be more on the site that will help!. Garlic: Earache, inflammation of the middle ear, ear disease: Pack a small clove of garlic in gauze and place into the external ear passage; or drop 4-5 drops of Oil of Garlic into the ear channel, cover with flannel, and keep warm!.

There may also be some other things on the site that would also help!. Best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I would try the cotton ball thing!. I would also put a warm wash cloth or heating pad on your neck just below the ear, this will help it to drain!. You should take ibuprophen for the pain and robitussin DM will help to get it drained also!. When you take the robitussin make sure to drink plenty of WATER!. Good luck to you and I Hope you get your 2nd operation soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

pour vinegar in it and let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes(head turned sideways) This sounds like swimmers ear!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
