Is it possible to OD on Vitamin C?!


Question: Is it possible to OD on Vitamin C!?
I am getting sick and I have taken 2 soft gels of Vitamin C (each 500mg) is there a maximum i should take in a day!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is pointless to take more than 500mg of Vitamin C in a day, because the kidneys simply excrete any more than that!. Taking mega doses over time can scar and damage the kidneys, so drink lots of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think vit!.C leaves your body but Vit A is the one you can take too much but it would take a lot!.!.I am sure you are safe but call your Walmart Pharmacy or the number on the vitamins or a health food store to feel even better!. Drink a lot of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your risk of developing kidney stones is increased, and diarrhea could be problem!.

Therapeutic Vit C will be of no benefit if you have a cold or flu!. In fact it could make matters worse!.

you have to really try hard since it is a water soluble vitamin, but it can be done!. consider spacing out your vitamin C once in the morning and the other in the afternoon or evening!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
