Medicine haters: how do you take medicine?!
Question: Medicine haters: how do you take medicine!?
i'm sick!. i have to take this terrible medicine, and i really dislike doing it, so is there anyone out there with a good idea or suggestion on how to make it not as bad!?

I could never take cough syrup!. Especially not the cherry kind, which was the only kind my mom ever bought!. I complained and whined so much that she just told me to hold my nose as I took it and then quickly was it down with water, while still holding my nose!. So I did that and after I drank the water, I let go of my nose and I could hardly taste the medicine at all!.
I'm not exactly sure why that works, but take it from me, it does!. Just do that if it's a syrup or something similar!. If it's a pill, then I have advice for that too!. I can't stand taking a pill without water (it feels like it's stuck in my throat for an hour) nor can I do it even if I drink water with it, so this is what I do!. I fill my mouth with a little bit of water (soda, juice, whatever) then pop the pill in, and swallow it all in one gulp :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

for a liquid, holding your nose helps!. smell and taste are closely related senses, so the taste isn't as bad without the smell!. but i still hate taking liquid medicines!.
for pills, i like to fill my mouth with water first, then drop the pill in and swallow!. that way you don't get the nasty taste as it dissolves on your tongue before you wash it down!.
when i was a kid i would gag every time i had to take a pill, so my mom eventually started putting the pills in a spoonful of applesauce or pudding and having me swallow the whole thing at once!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take it with something that tastes STRONG to over power the taste of the pills!. I suggest orange juice or vodka, lol!. jk, serious on the orange juice though!. And I take a drink and hold it in my mouth before I put the pills in so I don't taste any of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Have a chaser!.!.!.if its pills that youre taking, milk will work great!. Take a big mouthful of milk, THEN put the pill in your mouth!. You won't even taste it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
