To quit smoking, you can do the following things:

Write down the reasons why you smoke!.

Know in which situations you like to smoke best!.

You should know these situations very well (for example, when you are having a good time) and start to think of a solution for how you want to deal with that situation!. More!.

Determine the day you will stop!. That can be tomorrow, but you can also wait for a more favourable moment!.
Tell the people around you that you are going to quit!. Possibly with somebody else!.
Take away everything that reminds you of smoking!.
Stop radically; it gives you the best chance of success!.
Change your eating and drinking habits!. Drink a lot of water, eat a lot of fresh fruit and be aware of 'pleasure drinks' like coffee, tea and alcohol!.
Take care of enough physical relaxation!. Go for a walk or a ride or go swimming!.
Reward yourself!. Do nice things or give yourself something, like a cd or clothes!.
If you fall back, don't give up!. Find out in what situation it happened and try to find out with what (alternative) behaviour you can react in the future!. If you manage to come through the same situation next time, you have become stronger!.

if you have an open mind, there's a book called allen carr's easy way to quit smoking, very good book, quite short aswell, i used it to quit, it makes you see quiting smoking in a different light!. nicotine replacement therapy products are pointless because you are just replacing nicotine with more nicotine, you just take it a different way, bit of a con really
cutting down gradually is the worst way to stop because you will be prolonging your misery, waiting for the next one! you only smoke because of the previous cigarette, to stop you need to cut out all nicotine, its not as bad as you might think
sorry but any doctor that tells you stopping smoking out right is bad for you is not a very good doctor at all, thats like saying it is better to smoke than quit, all nicotine is bad no matter how much you smoke or how many patches you useWww@Answer-Health@Com

My guy tried many methods from cold turkey to the gum!.
But he found that the combination of 'the patch' and Wellbutrin
worked the best(the Wellbutrin is not addictive and you just need it with the patch and maybe 3 months after the fact so you don't get
those jitters, he says it takes the 'edge off' those bad feelings you get when your quitting!. He smoked for 25 years and he has been clean
for the past 9 years!. This of course, is all under doctor supervision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

2!. Don't 'quit' - make a conscious decision to choose to be a non-smoker, writing a list of all the good reasons!.
3!. Give yourself other choices with all the money you are saving!.
4!. I agree hypnotherapy is worth considering!.

Never stop immediately like now!. It can cause greater problems - doctors will tell you soo too!.

1!. cut down to 1 per day

2!. one per two days

3!. one per week

4!. None at all!.

Keep fit , go chemist (or 'drug store' if in usa lol) and get a fake chewy cigarrete look a like to chew on!. Nocotine patches and related!. In the UK!? Visit your local NHS for health check -ups!.

I had smoked for 15 years and never a day without a cigarette!. I gave up with a new tablet on the NHS called Champix!. It isnt a nicotene replacement so you dont then get dependent on the tablets!. Be warned they do make you feel a bit sick, but they do work so worth it I think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just decided to give them up so i got rid of all my fags from the house and i wont say it was easy but 3 yrs on im still off them!. Will power is the only way 2 do it but u have 2 truly want 2 give them up 4 yourself not 4 anyone else!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started saving the money I would have spent on cigarettes!. I saved enough to buy a quality 2nd hand Ford!. I needed a target!. Worked for me!. Cannot stand the smell of cigarette smoke now, turns my stomach!. Stopped almost 6 years ago!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
