First, good for you for looking for a natural way!. There are several things to try to naturally treat depression!. Exercise is a stock answer but that's because it helps!. Walking every day is a good way to start, and yoga always lifts my mood!. I don't go to yoga classes, I purchased a couple yoga DVDs at Target for less than $30 and I do them at home!. Eating a healthy vegetarian diet with lots of leafy greens, fruits, veg, and whole grains has made me feel so much better than my old diet, which was fast food and junk food!. I also take St!. John's Wort!. There are several websites which list tons of natural depression help that I have not tried so I don't want to advocate, but a google search will bring them up for you!. I also get massaged regularly (this can help with emotional release and get you more fully in your body), surround myself with positive people, and see a homeopath regularly!. If you aren't getting any relief trying remedies on your own I strongly suggest seeing a homeopath!. Good luck and don't give up!Www@Answer-Health@Com

From personal experience of both homeopathic&medication from the doctor, Id go for homeopathic if your symptoms arent severe!.I chose homeopathic as the meds i was given by doctors all had other side effects - one in particular made me extremely paranoid&i had to have a mental health nurse stay the night with me!I have used St Johns Wort(hypericum) and the Bach Flower Remedies for the last few years along with addressing the issues as to why i was depressed!. Exercise is definately a good way to keep depression at bay, I worked as a fitness tech for 4 yrs&only had 2 bouts of depression in that time, in fact there was a study performed on exercise vs antidepressants the exercise group had the lowest relapse rate!. Its hard to get motivated when you're depressed so you might find it difficult to get up&do something!. Start by researching St Johns Wort, buy a good quality preparation&take without fail!. Try the bach Flower Remedy 'Rescue Remedy' that can help with anxiety or worry, it seems strange a few drops of tincture can change your mind set but it really does work!. If you need any more info, add me as a contact&i might be able to help you a bit more with remedies etc!. If not, good luck, i hope you get rid of this blackness wearing you down:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi sweetie, I have been researching natural remedies for a while and keep finding that any ailments we suffer are due to deficiencies, dietary, nutritional!. If our bodies are lacking in certain nutrients then it will ail!. When we get the balance right, we enjoy good health and well being!. Depression is known to be caused by chemical imbalance as well as situational and environmental imbalances, such as stress, upsets in our everyday life, etc!. Nutritional therapy can help put the chemistry back into balance, but it takes knowledge and perseverance!.
I have read that Omega 3 oils (Alpha Linolenic Acids!.!.!.ALA) found in Flaxseeds or Omega 3 Fish Oils are essential for our general health!. Our bodies can't make ALA and so we are always deficient in this unless we can get enough from our food or supplements!. These Essential Fatty Acids found in Flax Seed Oil and Fish Oils are known to help with depression too!. Evening Primrose oil is a superb supplement for ladies as it helps with the symptoms and mood changes in PMT!. I believe that for any of these two supplements to work for your depression you would need to take quite a high dose!. That is what i am researching now!.!.!.the highest, safest dose to treat any health condition!.
Epileptics should avoid Evening Primrose oil as it can lower the seizure threshhold!.
Before making any major changes, you could consult a Naturopath or Nutritional Therapist to get you on the right path!. That way you can avoid all the trial and error that i have been through!
I think you are doing a good thing looking for natural ways to help yourself!. Self help is very empowering!. You can take some control over your health and well being!. Keep searching!

Best of luck xWww@Answer-Health@Com

weed can help, or it could make it worse, try it for a while and see what it does for you, weed is completely natural, a lot better than the human-created chemical anti-depressants

I've tried all kinds of prescription medications, and have been the happiest the past year after I had a good trip on shrooms and stopped taking the prescription antidepressants

I did a lot of research on them before hand, found that they arent addictive, have been used for thousands of years, and they are totally natural - they grow out of the ground and are naturally hallucinogenic - nothing chemically added or changed by humans

If god didnt want us to trip on shrooms, he wouldnt have put them on earth

They open your mind to take a different look at life and are completely safe, just make sure you are getting ones that aren't laced with anything, and i'd start out with 1/16th of an ounce for your first trip

I self treat my depression with 5htp!. It works a lot better than the prescribed rubbish that I used to take!. You can buy it at the health food store or online!. Take 50-100mg last thing at night with a carbo snack or some milk!.

Rhodiola Rosea (Siberian Golden Root) is also very good, but don't take if you suffer from high blood pressure!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
