Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation out there about Melatonin!. The main problem is that some people don't use it right and have negative experiences because of it!.

Yes, Melatonin is a hormone in your body!. Specifically, it helps support Serotonin, which is the hormone that is involved in both sleeping and waking cycles!. That's the reason so many people have a problem!.!.!. they treat it like a sleeping pill (take more to sleep better), but if your body gets too much Serotonin, it actually gets the signal to wake up!. So when people take too much or if they take some when they already have enough Serotonin in their body, Melatonin won't help them sleep!.
I've also heard of people that took it for so long that their brain developed an idea in their subconscious that they needed it to fall asleep (not quite a mental addiction, but it's pretty close)!.

If you can use Melatonin, many people don't have to use it long term!. It basically helps to reset your body's internal clock (for lack of a better term)!. In fact, many people that fly internationally on a regular basis rely on it because of the time changes!. But when you're in one area, taking Melatonin for a month or two can help reset your clock enough where you may not need it at all!.

Melatonin isn't exactly produced from the sun (I think the other answerer is thinking of Vitamin D), but your body produces more of the amount that it needs for relaxation and sleep when there is less light (night time) and produces more of the amount it needs to wake up in the morning!. Like I said before, not everyone has the same amount, so some people feel more awake when the sun comes up than others!.

Since it is a hormone, people under 16 shouldn't take it (another bad move some people make since it can interfere with natural hormone production)!. Also, it's always best to consult an informed doctor before using any new supplement or sleep aid, just to be on the safe side!. I hope I helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

melatonin is a natural hormone your body gives you that helps you sleep!. I've always heard taking this supplement is bad!. but i do admit i have taken it myself to help me sleep on occasion i never did like it because i would hardly sleep at all on this!. if your looking to receive some melatonin naturally try to get some exercise and some uv rays because you receive melatonin from the sun but don't get sun burnt!
hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Do NOT use this hormone!. It will train your body to become lazy and not produce its own!. BTW don't ever exceed 3mg if you do decide to go against my advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
