I agree with the other answerers who suggested resting in a quiet dimly lit room with a cool cloth!. But sometimes that isn't an option right away!.

Tiger Balm works fantastic for times when you can't rest!. Rub a little on your temples and along your forehead!. Also at the back of your neck as well!. The sensation is hot then cool, and it will take away major headaches rather quickly!.

Also you could apply pressure to some acupuncture points!. One is on the fatty skin part between your thumb and your index finger!. squeeze it with your other hand!. hold for a count of 10 then release!. Repeat on the other hand!.

Sometimes applying a bit of pressure at the bridge of your nose will help as well!.

Another thing that will work is to take a drop of peppermint essential oil on the tip of your tongue and hold it to the roof of your mouth!. Again count for at least 10, then release!.

Remember to breath deeply through all for the most benefit!.

I hope that helps!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Be sure that you are very well hydrated before you do anything else!. Most headaches are a result of dehydration!. Rest, dim the lights, a cool cloth is a good idea!. I find that sometimes a shower helps!.

Clear your mind and relax your body!. Some meditation or yoga would help you to release tensions in your body causing the headache!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First try drinking a lot of water!. Quite a lot of headaches are caused by dehydration!. Dehydration can be caused by some of the things we drink - like soda, coffee, anything with caffeine!.

So before you try anything else, try drinking water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Chiropractic care is a safe and natural way to get rid of headaches!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lying down in a quiet dark room, with a cold rag on your head!. That usually works for me!.

EDIT: Also caffiene works for headaches too, so maybe grab a mountian dew!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
