organic castile soap which is a mix of coconut, jojoba, olive oils is one of the best cleaners!. Your hair seems a bit like mine!. I have a hard time getting castile soap out of my hair!. What I have found that works best for me is adding some type of organic flower water and some other organic oils including tea tree!. Of course that is going to be a bit runny, but I have gotten use to it!.
I tried the same thing as you once and got the same result!. What I have found that works well is replacing the vinegar with honey!. I use that mixture as a pre shampoo treatment before washing twice a week!.
When you tell some people you are looking for a natural shampoo, they have not clue, AVEDA is not natural!.
I make it easy most of the time I use my face and body wash as my shampoo!. It is a lemon face wash I get online from mountian rose herbs!. It has Organic Castille soap ( organic oils of Coconut and Olive, organic Jojoba oil, organic Aloe Vera, and Rosemary extract), organic Lavender flower water, Grapefruit seed extract, Burdock and Red Clover extract, and lemon in it!. I often add tea tree!. I really like their Invigorating Hair Oil along with just about everything else!
*coconut is the best foaming agent!. this is why I use castile for hand wash, washing my clothes, and so many things!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im not sure if any homemade shampoos are going to make your hair very beautiful, but I will tell you that Aveda has all styling products and shampoos and conditioners that are natural ingredients and earth friendly!. They are a little more pricey than regular store brands but well worth the extra cash!.
If you have oily hair I would suggest you try the Shampure shampoo and conditioner that they make!. Shampure is specifically for ridding your hair of grease and oil build up and any other "waxy" build up as well!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is a shine rinse you've described there as opposed to a shampoo!. Without a foaming agent it's not loing to get your hair clean!. I'd recommend you try LUSH products, they're as close to natural as you can buy but still contain all the necessaries to get your hair totally clean!. Try the shampoo bars!.
EDIT Sodium Lauryl Sulphate does not damage hair when combined with other beneficial ingredients!. The most expensive salon brands contain SLS!.
We live in a very chemical world, it's in the air we breathe and in every building and on every surface!. If you eliminate chemicals from your life totally it will lessen your immunity to the environment!. you will be more susceptible to cold and infection!. If you live in a very rural area it is possible to live a self-sufficient lifestyle with no chemicals, otherwise you're exposed to them every minute of the day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
