Question: Alternative Cures for Scabies!?
So I was diagnosed with scabies, yesterday and the medication they are putting me on is very rare and quite expensive ($170!.00) it is going to take a week for the prescription to be filled, I'm hoping I can cure this without using Lindane (the medicine I was prescribed) because its quite toxic!. Please help the itching is unbearable-> please include references so I can double check!. Thanks a Mil!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Neem oil
Sulphur ointment
Calomine lotion (for itchiness)

I've also heard of using olive oil, as a natural remedy, but I have no references for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lindane has to be toxic to kill the mites that are infesting your skin!. That is the point, after all!. The question is is Lindane going to cause you to die earlier than if you hadn't used it!? No!. It's side effects are minimal and rare!. Remember that toxic exposure is dose relative!. The dose of the poison is enough kill the mites, but not enough to hurt you!. Your liver can handle the detox, that's what its function is and it is very good at it!.

There are unlikely any 'alternative' cures for killing mites!. This isn't some 'energy imbalance'!. You have tiny eight-legged arthropods boring into your epidermis!. How are you going to kill them, and not make yourself sick, using herbal remedies or oils!?

Lindane has a FAQ sheet at the FDA: http://www!.fda!.gov/CDER/DRUG/infopage/li!.!.!.

I suggest you read it!. It will clear up any fear you have on this issue!. Fear that was likely caused by CAM promoters trying to scare you into giving them money for 'all natural' treatments that don't actually work!.

Lindane is safe enough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tee tree is quite effective, strong so dilute to put on skin!. 10 drops to 1 cup water in spray bottle to spray furniture or clean surfaces also add capful or so to per gallon of water or so (proportionate) to mop floors to get the suckers OUT of your house !

Also, sodium laurel sulphate (first ingredient in cheap shampoos) is toxic to fleas, bugs, if you shampoo your dog with this (any brand containing a high percentage of SLS) lather and leave on 3-5 minutes, they die and you just rinse them off, if you scrub your self with it, leave it on longer and it should kill the scabies too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would suggest Neem oil maybe with a little added tea tree or eucalyptus!. You would want to dilute it in a little olive, emu!. or coconut oil!.

I have taken a mix of clove, worm wood, and black walnut hull to get rid of parasites!. In a tincture form you may be able to put it on your skin!. i have used clove put never the other two on my skin(if that is of any interest, may want to look it up)Www@Answer-Health@Com

so yep i looked it up and they say that - Ivermectin, Lindane, Permethrin- are the drugs to get rid of the pest that has plaged you!. I guess permethrin might be the cheapest that is the stuff that you can buy to get rid of lice and its cheeper then the lindane!. hope this helps you a little!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
