Is there a natural alternative to taking thyroid medicine?!

Question: Is there a natural alternative to taking thyroid medicine!?
I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and was prescribed levothyroxine!. I try to stay away from drugs, especially the synthetic drugs and I really do not want to take a synthetic hormone!. I was wondering if there were natural alternatives to taking levothyroxine!. I have researched this but was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have seen great results with the Biotics Research products!. Generally, Liquid Iodine Forte (1 drop/day for 5 weeks) and Thyrostim (3/day for 10 weeks) are needed for nutritional repair of the thyroid!. Once your thyroid energy improves, some people can benefit from the Cyto-THY, a neonatal glandular, but I doubt that you would need it!.

You can find more information on the product here: http://www!.bioticsresearch!.com/en/cms/!?1!.!.!. You need to work with someone who is trained in the products!. You can find practioners at http://www!.crahealth!.org

In rare cases, some people do better with a little bit of synthetic thyroid, but in most cases it isn't need!.

It is best to work with an MD or DO who isn' resistant to using nutrition when it is appropriate to your particular issue!. MD's and DO's who have been trained in integrative medicine via Dr!. Andrew Weil's University of Arizona's Integrative Medicine program are a good place to start!. http://integrativemedicine!.arizona!.edu/a!.!.!.

You should also continue to monitor your TSH, T3 and T4 blood chemistry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

HI!!!
I have hypothyroidism too and take levothyroxine!.
Levothyroxine is very simillar to natural thyroxine, so what i do and i'm naturopathic doctor is take some Iodine to support thyroid and Zepatix a glandular extract!.

Take always Levothyroxine because is very similar to your body, and don't have many side effects!.

According to my essential oil desk reference the first recommendations are Lemongrass, spearmint or Thyromin!. The first two are oils and the last one is a supplement!. If you go with oils, make sure they are therapeutic grade!. I can give you a source if you are interested!. Also, I can let you know how to apply them if you are interested!. Good luck with whichever route you take!.
