Go to the doctor. He'll probably deduct that it's tetanus and give you an antibiotic.

There is no "home remedy" per se. (BTW "lockjaw" is "tetanus" which is definitely not your problem).
An osteopathic manual practitioner can fix this, and so can a chiropractor. Homeopathy is also known to work. Whatever modality you choose requires you to see a professional in any of these disciplines.
Dental treatments cause a lot of TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint) problems because patients end up keeping their mouths open in unnatural positions for inordinate amounts of time.

But in Homoeopathy there is. Rhus Tox. - 30, 4 doses for a couple of days will cure you permanently. But it is advisable to contact an able Homoeopath for your medication. It is just a pointer to tell you how easy it is in Homoeopathy.

The book "Everyday Miracles of Homoeopathy" by Dr. Vijayalakshmi.

Meditation made my jaws more flexible, not only my jaws.
Acupuncture or energetic therapies like Jin Shin Jyutsu can be helpful too.

With meditation or JIn Shin Jyutsu you can take responsability (and freedom) in your own hands.

There are home remedies, and they are all useless bunk. You need to see a doctor, pronto!

Hi Kimberly. I'm "guessing" that you are having a problem with either an "open lock" or a "closed lock" of your jaw. These conditions are caused by the intra-articular disc in the jaw (in the TM joint) getting "caught" in the wrong place, which then prevents the jaw from being either opened fully or closed fully. The disc moves with the mandible (chin bone) as your jaw opens and closes. The Lateral Pterygoid muscle in the cheek area of your face is the muscle that moves the disc in sync with the movement of the mandible.

These "locked" types of conditions are usually caused by myofascial triggerpoints (a type of muscle spasm) in the Lateral Pterygoid muscle. A Chiropractor with the appropriate training the disorders of the TM Joint (commonly called "TMJ") should be able to help you if you have the condition I have described above. Until you can see your family Chiropractor (tomorrow?), you can try some moist heat over the right side of your face to help relax the muscle. But the condition will need specific treatment in most cases to "free" the disc and return motion to normal.

Here a some links to pictures of the anatomy of the jaw. The first one uses older terminology (the Lateral Pterygoid muscle is also called the External Pterygoid, which in "old language" is the "Pterygoideus Externus").
