What's with the misconceptions on steroids?!


Question: What's with the misconceptions on steroids?
Why do the media always portray steroids as bad, with deaths from steroids with no proof. They are a boon to the medical society it helps people with muscle wasting, HIV and other diseases, but all of a sudden if you'e a healthy athlete they're bad, wtf? On the American ER Room visit list they are 142, that's even after multivitamins. People can die from peanuts, do we ban peanuts and sue God for making them? ANY drug that is abused has side effects, why are steroids looked in the same light as cocaine and methamphetamine's? Steroids and competitions are different, but banning them in whole is just an over reaction. What do you say? And why is there all this BS about 'roids?

YOU'RE a retard and probably can't even get your hands on steroids.

An athlete is celebrated and admired for his strength, stamina and skill. If the strength, stamina and skill is only because he took a pill he is a fake. Steroids are very important in the medical field as well as narcotics. But anybody that takes narcotics or steroids for recreational use is ABUSING them. Steroids change the shape of your muscles. Your heart is a muscle and steroids change the size and shape of your heart making it less effective or not working at all. Hence people dying. They don't die from steroids they die from a heart attack caused by taking steroids.

like any drug, they are addictive, and the amount taken in some may be too much for a normal person.

of course drugs like prednisolone and methylprednisolone and other steroids are used in people with inflammatory like conditions, such as asthma or autoimmune diseases. because they are in low amounts and usually for a short period of time, the problem with steroids is some people use them in high amounts for too long. even the steroids called prednisolone they use in medicine can have additive affects on your cardiovascular system if used improperly. can even enlarge the heart like that other dude just mentioned.

The misconceptions are product of Te government. Acordng to them the use of it is "anti american" it's just a load of crap. Mr O jay cutler uses them like a madman, obviously. And he's an American icon just like the California governor. Who by the way wouldn't have gotten nearly as far if it wasn't because o the steroids. There's nothing wrong about steroids if u know what they are and how to use them. Don't follow the general idea of it. Study about them.

Steroids can be a good thing, but like most good things people would abuse them. The problem with steroids is it gives an unfair advantage in a modern sports filled world. Unless they make a "Roids Football League". Support the RFL!
