Which combos are safe to take together daily, assuming they were taken in doses that balanced each other?
Which should be taken at night to help with sleep?
Should I be taking anything else?

If you are on any medications currently, ask your doc before taking anything, even herbal can have interactions.
Valerian Root and Melatonin are safe to take together.
Vitamin B is good to take at meals.
Try chamomile tea as well as St Johns Wort but this does have interactions and some side effects such as sun sensitivity and can interact with birth control pills so be sure to ask your doc. Also, ask your pharmacist, they know the best about possible interactions and what would be best to take together or seperately. Acupuncture is wonderful for anxiety as well as yoga and meditation.

Kava is dangerous since its hard on the liver, The FDA recently put it on their warning list of things to avoid. THe other herbs are great though.
Also look at L-Theanine, GABA, Tryptophan and Rhodioa Rosea
