Question: Right, someone here needs to have a definitive answer. SURELY?
What herbs reduce anxiety without sexual side effects?

St johns wort = ???(Been proven to cause male impotence in some cases)
Valerian root = ???
Ginseng = ???
Ginko Balboa = ???
Echinacea = ???

what will help with anxiety? Everyone on the web suggests Siberien ginseng and Ginko Biloba (apart form people on here haha) I have no idea about the others.

St johns wort though, changes the amount of Serotonin in your body, lowering the interest in sex.

The others? anyone? someone on here has to know what is good for anxiety.

This isn't a chatting forum... you've already asked this same question several times and have gotten several good answers. I'll try to reiterate for you as best I can.

Echinacea is for the immune system, not anxiety... that won't really work at all.
Korean/Panax Ginseng (which is good for stress, brain health, and immune system support). However, if you're using Siberian or American Ginseng, those two increase energy and may make anxiety worse (although they also help with stress). Choosing the right Ginseng will make a world of difference when you have stress.
Ginkgo is good for brain health (memory and whatnot), but doesn't really help anxiety.
Valerian is more for sleep, but helps some people relax as well.
You've already answered your own question about St. John's Wort... some people have sexual side effects from it (although many don't have them as well).
Others I mentioned before would include 5-HTP, L-Theanine (found in Green Tea), Ashwagandha, Rhodiola Rosea, Chamomile, and/or Hops.

If there's a misunderstanding, anything that helps with stress can help with anxiety. Which one would work best for you in particular will entirely vary based on your body chemistry (which nobody here would know enough about to adequately answer for you)... you may need to try a few of these to see which one(s) work best for you. Good luck and I hope I helped!

valerian root is a relaxer so it would calm you but it would reduce sex drive cause you would be sleepy however it doesn't stay in your system so your drive would not be totally decreased. I would recommend lavendar scented body wash and sheet spray, it and pepperment are two frangrances that aromatherapists use to relax people. also great for anxiety is mediation and or yoga, helps relax body and focus mind

You'll be lucky to get an definitive answer because herbal drugs are mostly untested for side effects, risks, interactions, etc. They are are uncontrolled, unstandardized, and mostly ineffective. There is weak evidence for St Johns Wort and depression, but it comes with several possible risks: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/drugi…

I would recommend 5-HTP. It is a great alternative to anti depressants for mild or moderate depression. I've been taking it since a year and have not had any problems---and I have not had any anxiety.....it's not too expensive. I get it online because it is kind of pricey at stores like GNC--but then I think I also saw it fairly inexpensive at Walmart and Kroger......I also thought that it worked instantly--but it could be that this is only my impression.

It is made from the seed of some African tree and gets converted by the body into serotonin....works great!!!

Go for Valerian tincture (liquid). You can moderate how much you take, number of drops. It is brilliant for anxiety (I notice the effects within 20 minutes). It does not reduce your sex drive.

Clear definitive answer, none of them work. Is that concise and clear enough?

Try 5 HTP
